PAYMENT AND SHIPPING

1) Payment Terms

1.1 Accepted methods
We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout (e.g., major cards, PayPal, Shopify Payments/Stripe, bank transfer where offered). Third-party payment providers may apply their own terms and conduct risk checks; for invoice/instalment products they may act as independent controllers for your payment data. We remain your contact for product, delivery, returns, and statutory rights. (Standard DE practice for PayPal/Stripe integrations.)

1.2 When we charge your card / capture of funds
Payment is taken at checkout for all orders. For custom items, production starts only after successful payment.

1.3 Currency, VAT & price transparency
Prices are shown in EUR, VAT-inclusive (where applicable). Any shipping costs and additional charges (if any) are shown clearly near the price and again before you place the order, in line with Germany’s Price Indication Ordinance (PAngV).

1.4 Personalized prices (if used)
If we ever use automated personalization (e.g., dynamic pricing), we will inform you before contract conclusion as required by the Omnibus Directive’s German implementation.

1.5 Invoices & records
Invoices are issued electronically. We retain tax records as required by German commercial/tax law.

1.6 Payment default (primarily B2B)
If a money debt is in default, statutory default interest applies: consumers +5 pp above the base rate; B2B +9 ppabove the base rate (§ 288 BGB). Additional dunning/collection costs may apply where legally permitted.

1.7 Fraud prevention
To protect customers and our workshop, we may use anti-fraud checks and decline or cancel orders that cannot be verified (the purchase price is refunded in such cases).

2) Production & Lead Times (Hand-Crafted Items)

2.1 Nature of our products
Our urns are artisan-made (wood/ceramic). Small variations in grain, tone, texture, glaze and dimensions are inherent to handcraft and not defects.

2.2 Custom cameo bas-relief
For cameo orders we work from your photos/text. Typical phases:

  • Design intake & (where offered) proof: ~1–3 business days

  • Hand-sculpting / finishing: ~10–20 business days

  • Drying / kiln firing (ceramic) or oil finish curing (wood): ~3–7 business days
Lead times are estimates; the craft, kiln cycles and quality checks can introduce slight variation.

2.3 Limited monthly slots
We accept a limited number of custom orders each month to ensure quality; checkout date reserves your slot.

2.4 Time-sensitive orders
If you have a ceremony date, please contact us before ordering so we can advise on feasibility.

(Under German law, we must present key delivery timing before the final order button; we do so on the product page and in checkout.)

3) Shipping

3.1 Delivery areas & carriers
We ship to addresses within Germany and to the destinations listed at checkout. Carriers include [DHL/Deutsche Post/DPD/UPS/Hermes] (as shown at checkout). Delivery restrictions (if any) are disclosed before you place the order.

3.2 Tracking & proof of delivery
All parcels are tracked; you receive a tracking link when your order ships. For high-value items we may require a signature on delivery.

3.3 Address accuracy & Packstation
Please enter a complete, accurate address. For DHL Packstation, include your Postnummer and Packstation ID to avoid delays.

3.4 Estimated transit times (once dispatched)

  • Germany: typically 1–3 business days

  • EU: typically 3–7 business days

  • Rest of world: typically 7–14 business days
Transit times are carrier estimates and can be affected by weather, strikes, customs, or logistics disruptions.

3.5 Delivery dates & “coming soon”
For consumer sales, German courts expect a concrete delivery time; vague wording like “coming soon” is insufficient. We therefore display realistic time windows and/or dates.

3.6 Split shipments
We may split your order (no extra cost) if items have different readiness dates.

3.7 Incoterms & customs (non-EU)
International orders ship DAP (Delivered At Place) unless stated otherwise. Import duties, taxes and clearance feesare paid by the recipient.

3.8 Risk transfer
For consumers, risk passes on handover to you or an authorised recipient. If you commission the carrier and we did not name that carrier, risk passes when we hand the goods to your carrier (consumer carriage exception).

3.9 Delivery failure / non-collection
If a delivery fails for reasons attributable to you (wrong/incomplete address; non-collection), we may pass on reasonable re-shipping costs. This does not affect your statutory withdrawal rights.

3.10 Packaging & sustainability (VerpackG)
We participate in Germany’s Packaging Act (VerpackG) system and are registered with the LUCID Packaging Register (ZSVR) No.: DE1768039792083

4) Damage, Loss & Carrier Investigations

4.1 On delivery
Please check the parcel on receipt. If visibly damaged, ask the driver to note it and photograph the box and contents.

4.2 What to send us
Within 48 hours of delivery, email [support@…] with your order number, photos of the outer box, inner packing, and item, plus a short description.

4.3 Investigation & remedy
We’ll open a carrier investigation. A parcel is deemed lost per the carrier’s policy (commonly ~30 days EU / 45 daysinternational). If confirmed lost or damaged, we will replace or refund as appropriate.

5) Returns Shipping Costs (If Withdrawal Applies)

For non-custom goods only (see our Cancellation/Withdrawal Policy), if you withdraw within 14 days, we refund payments including the cost of standard outbound delivery; you bear the direct cost of return if we told you so beforecontract conclusion (we do). This reflects EU/German consumer law on withdrawal.

6) Pre-Contract & Checkout Information (Summary)

Before you place your order, we show: essential product characteristics, total price incl. VAT, shipping costs, delivery time, accepted payment methods, and any delivery restrictions. The final button is labelled to indicate a payment obligation (e.g., “Zahlungspflichtig bestellen”). Order confirmation follows on a durable medium (e-mail).
